FLOOD CONTROL PROJECTS
MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
In order for the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority (JRA)
to make effective maintenance management decisions for
each flood control project, data and information ranging
from maintenance histories to maintenance schedules to
project mapping and feature drawings must be made
available for review in an efficient manner.
The Flood Control Projects Maintenance Management System
supports and enhances the maintenance management of the
five (5) Flood Control Projects within the City of
Johnstown. The System is interactive, allowing instant,
remote, access to a range of project related data and
information. The System is integrated, allowing for
quick updating of data and information as it becomes
available.
The Flood Control Projects Maintenance Management System
provides the following advantages and benefits:
Increased efficiency in the planning, engineering and
administration of all required project activities.
- Remote, round-the-clock point-and-click access to
range of project history, maintenance and inspection
information for each Flood Control Project.
- Facilitates the review of inspection reports,
tracking of recommended maintenance and recording of
completion dates and notes.
- Provides single source access to maintenance
related data and information such as histories,
schedules, costs, completion notes and status reports
of current maintenance activities.
- Instant access to project inspection reports and
schedules/maintenance frequencies for addressing any
noted project deficiencies.
- Retrieval of pertinent project data and
information for easy distribution to a range of
regulatory agencies, local government departments and
civic organizations.
This type of flood control project maintenance
management system is first of its kind in Pennsylvania
and will serve as a guide for other similar flood
protection system controllers to follow.
